NDIS

We are here to assist you on your career journey, no matter where you are at.

Career counselling for NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) participants is an important aspect of helping individuals with disabilities to achieve their career goals.

One of the main goals of NDIS is to help participants achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. This includes providing support for individuals to pursue their career goals and aspirations. Career counselling is an important tool for participants to help them identify their strengths, interests, and goals, and find the right path to achieve them.

We offer a number of different career counselling options available for participants. Some individuals may prefer to work with a career counsellor one-on-one, while others may prefer to participate in group counselling sessions. Some participants may also choose to participate in online career counselling programs, which can be a convenient and flexible option.

When working with a participant, our career counsellors will typically begin by assessing the individual’s strengths, interests, and goals. This may involve taking a personality assessment, conducting a skills assessment, or reviewing the individual’s work history. Once the counselor has a clear understanding of the participant’s strengths and goals, they can help the individual develop a career plan and identify potential job opportunities.

Individuals may also benefit from job coaching and support services. This may include help with resume writing, job searching, and interviewing skills. You may also need additional support to adjust to their new job, such as assistance with transportation or workplace accommodations.

Careers Development Australia are committed to assisting everyone to find meaningful, and rewarding careers, that align with their strengths and interests.
